John Le Coq Photos

I am a fan of John Le Coq’s ”life and lifestyle” photos of the Rocky Mountain West (Colorado, in particular). John happens to be one of the partners at fishpond, and if you’ve seen fishpond’s catalog, you’ve seen John’s work (and if you own any of fishpond’s gear, you’ve used John’s other work).

Anyway, John has a nice gallery up on the fishpond Web site, with 80 images as of this writing. While I like John’s water-work (especially the autumn scenes), many of my favorite pieces are actually his equine (and even bovine) shots. John’s use of snow and light effects brings a painterly sense to a number of the scenes.

I recommend taking a few minutes and browsing through the gallery. You may find a shot that takes you to a place that you wish you were. For me, some of John’s images bring back memories of days past, while others invoke a sense of natural artistry. I hope that you enjoy them…

Kara—Thanks for taking the time to comment. I’ve appreciated John’s work for years, and with the growing number of photo-based/lifestyle e-zines out there, I figured that there would be an audience at FF&W primed for John’s efforts (if they had not already seen the fishpond gallery).
