Triple Shoot Video
A little bandwidth consumption from the “From the Archives” department. Actually this is more like, “It’s Saturday night, I need to make a quick post, and look what I just found in a long-lost folder.”
Origins aside, this is a much more visual follow-up to the Triple Shooting post that I put up here in April. It goes all the way back to 2002/2003 (I looked so much younger), and was made to support an article I did for my then-column in Fly Rod & Reel magazine. The video may still be lurking out there somewhere on the Web, but like the DTF Feather Guide, I figure it’s time it showed up here.
As you’ll see, I didn’t even edit the thing from its original FR&R form (hey, it’s Saturday night), so you’ll get it just the way it was back in the olden days of ’03. The vid was shot on a small Wisconsin coastal river during salmon season, and my favorite coho run is off to my right side (camera left). Last time I fished that run, I caught a steelhead, so go figure…
Well, that’s the intro, and here’s the video (QuickTime format, weighs in at about 2MB):

Great vid Jason.
The coming of interactive online books isn’t too far away. A few of these videos as supplements to The Nature of Fly Casting would be fantastic! Sometimes you have to see it to understand the timing and mechanics.
Chris—Thanks for the comment on the vid. And interesting that you should mention on-line books. There may be something coming (if I can get my act together) that may be of interest to you…
