Got Blu-Ray?

Yes, the day has come. A mere 17 years after its theatrical release, you can now snag a copy of A River Runs Through It on Blu-Ray. My copy is on its way today. Here’s to hoping that a few deleted bits from the fishing scenes are back…

The FF&W [blog] is meant to provide a flow of educational fly-fishing links, articles, and media, as well as a splash of news and art. I hope that you enjoy the read.
My best,
Jason Borger
Sent bi-monthly (with a few extras now and then). Education, updates, give-aways, and whatever else. Never sold or lent.
Nothing to see here (at the moment).
Be the cool kid on the block and get your very own FF&W tee. They come complete with a generous serving of JB art and are made and printed in the U.S.A.
(Looking for a size that is sold out? the next fill-in order is due the third week of September).

hi Jason !
i’ve been wondering about this:
“here’s to hoping that a few deleted bits from the fishing scenes are back… ”
on my copy, the Shadow cast is incomplete. was that the way it was originally edited ?
cheers,
marc
Marc—The Shadow Cast scene was originally scripted with a brief exchange between Norman and an older couple who stop to watch Paul do his thing. It didn’t make it into the film. Perhaps the Blu-Ray version—in the “extras” or “deleted scenes” sections—contains a few of the odd bits like that (I guess I’ll see soon enough).
thanks Jason.
i’m starting to think it’s a marketing ploy to get us poor FFers to buy several copies over the years !
i hope your cut is good ;)
cheers,
marc
Marc—If you mean “my cut” as in my cut from the release of each version (DVD, Blu-Ray), then, oh yeah, stand back! ;-) I think at this point that any sort of “cut” that might show up from the Blu-Ray release would be worth barely more the stamp on the envelope…
