The FF&W blog is meant to provide a flow of fly-fishing articles, art, and media, as well as a splash of news and other links. I hope that you enjoy the read.
My best,
Jason Borger
The FF&W E-List is sent approximately six times per year, with an occasional extra now and then. Education, updates, give-aways, and whatever else. The E-List is never sold, rented, or lent. Click here to join.
"Fly Fishing, the Book Series" was begun in 2010 as a collaboration between Gary Borger's Tomorrow River Press and Fish, Flies & Water. This planned 20-book series will explore a huge range of fly-fishing topics over 5+ years. The books are available signed/personalized by GB from his eBay store. Unsigned copies (at the basic retail price) are available here or from other angling book retailers.
THE SERIES PASS
A special "Series Pass" for all 20 books is also being offered. One million words, all fly fishing!

Hi Jason,
I like it and the color. How about olive too? Do you mean 50/50 cotton poly? I an 100% cotton guy. The blend makes me emit odors detectable by trout and um. . . other creatures. Those new micro fibers are OK though.
I like it!
@John—Thanks for the feedback. The material I am currently looking at is indeed 50cotton/50poly. I’ve used the exact same shirt for a couple of years (from American Apparel), and it wears well, washes/dries well, and takes a reasonable beating. They also do an organic cotton, too (I think). I haven’t committed to anything yet, but between responses from the E-List and the couple of comments here, I may run with some tee design before the holidays. Perhaps a poll is in order to choose the fish?
@Aitor—To the point! Thanks, my friend…
hi Jason !
i’d wear that every and any day.
fwiw, love the color and heavy cotton is best.
chub ! ;)
cheers,
marc
I’m in :D
Grunde
Sign me up! I hope you accept paypal and do the S&H stuff down here to Chile… So drop us a line (maybe through the e-list) when this great idea comes to life.
Tight lines!
@Marc, Grunde and Simon—Thanks, gents! I’m going to look into doing the shirts in two fabrics (the 50/50 has been great for me, but there also seems to be a 100-percent cotton contingent out there). I may release a design in one fabric, and add another fabric if I can balance the cost/return ratio (trust me when I say that I’d be thrilled if this project even manages to break even this year).
I like it. I would definitely wear this around town and at the local stream…
@All—Just downloaded a survey plug-in for the blog. Once I get the thing figured, I’ll run a survey or two about the tee in another post, and then get shirts on the way… Thanks to all who responded!
Jason, I really like it too. Is there any thing on the back of the shirt? I also go for 100% cotton and the olive color sounds nice too.
Bill—Nothing on the back (at least for this particular shirt series). I’ve gotten other votes for olive, as well (the first comment, and a couple of e-mails). Perhaps what I’ll do is offer the 50/50 in gray and the cotton in olive. Need to check color avail…
