@Marc—I'll check out planetemouche. And yeah, as a fan of the efficient in casting, I like this a lot. I use a single-hander (or switch) much more than a dedicated double, and like other Spey-related casts this skill translates very nicely to the single-hand world, too.

@All—Juergen forwarded me a pile of photos and in-depth info about the cast, which I don't want to post yet since he has an article coming out on the cast shortly. Once he publishes, I'll do another post that has some more in-depth info for those who are digging this cast. Also, Juergen may have contact info on the YouTube page from which this video streams. If so, interested casters may want to contact him directly about some of the finer points...

Look for a modular section devoted to the Snap-Slip in "Version 2" of Nature of Fly Casting, as well.

hi Jason,
actually, i've been burning out over here lately... www.planetemouche.com
anyhow, Juergen's cast is an ingenious and oh-so elegant way to deal with getting the shooting head back out of the rod prior to the forward spey. definitely one i'd wish i'd thought of myself ;)
cheers,
marc

Marc—Yeah, nothin' new to the Sexyloops crowd, for sure. But for those those don't burn up a good portion of their natural born lives lurking at SL, I figured it would be good to have it here, too... ;)
