3 Soft-Hackles
In honor of Jack Gartside, who passed away last weekend, here are three soft-hackle fly drawings from over the years. The first is from the 1991 book, Designing Trout Flies, the second is from the 1995 book, Presentation (both books by GB), and the third is a four-stroke water painting from my “Buddha Board” (done this week). The last one is an exercise in minimalism, for sure, but provides a less fussy counterpoint to the other two, I think. Hope you like them…
