Page Hierarchies and Dead Links

Before the Pages section of this blog gets out of hand, I have decided to step in and organize the thing. No more random topics arranged by first letter! Now it is about random topics arranged by first letter, but under separate parent pages. Thrilled? I’m sure you are, but try to contain yourself. Actually this will make things a lot better, I think, especially if/when this blog bloats up to many dozens of pages (just you wait).

Only one little issue: When one creates hierarchies, one also inserts (automagically) the hierarchy name into the permalink. That, in turn, renders any references to the link dead (such as a link to a specific page from a post). There are, I guarantee it, dead links throughout the blog now. Great, huh? Unfortunately, that’s the way it is.

So, if you find a dead page link, let me know and I’ll fix it ASAP. Think of it as a great excuse to go back and read through all those blog posts again (c’mon, it’s only been a year).

  1. Jason,
Can we expect more drawings on the T-shirts? Maybe drawings for other trout (brown, raibow, or cutthroat) or flies? I will be the first one to order a wet-fly drawing tee if you make one….
Have you tried a corkscrew cast with a micro practice rod?
I think it works and I am doing right….
Also, I copied your Low-rider with my best. I hope you’ll post rest of 9 more favorite flies.
    Happy new year!

Satoshi—Yes, there are more drawings planned for the tees. At this point in time, it is my intent that they will follow the general look/feel as the current tee, but I may think about some different approaches, too. I have a small pile of bonefish pix here that I can work from, and I may do a tee for salt-focused FF&W readers next. If the current trout tees continue to sell, I’ll expand the line to include other trout species. If not, I’ll have to re-think what I’m going to do with that.

Corkscrew does work with the MPR. If you’re getting it with that little rod, you should be able to eventually translate to your trout sticks.

I will definitely post the other nine fave flies (and more). Tomorrow is the first fly in the Drawing Flies 52 project with Jeff Kennedy, so be watching for that, too.
