Feelin’ lazy reflective today. Gonna go cast my MPR, work on the book series, and perhaps watch a few minutes of “Once in Blue Moon” (while simultaneously lamenting the fact that I do not currently have two tickets to the South Island sitting on my kitchen table).
And while I do all of that, here are some of my favorite posts from 2009 for readers to click through. Have a good New Year’s eve (I hope that some of you are fishing today, and not just casting your MPRs), and watch for the first Drawing Flies 52 post tomorrow!

Hi Jason, just “discovered” the site a few weeks ago and really like it.I especially like the loop-wing dun sketch you posted in memory of Rusty and was wondering if you would be inclined to post some tying instructions,as I can’t find any elsewhere. The new page hierarchies are a nice improvement also.
Bob—Good to hear that you like what you’ve found here at FF&W. That loop wing dun not only brought me many fish on the Au Sable, but it has brought me fish all over the globe. There are a lot of loop wing patterns out there, but that one is the one that I grew up tying. Since it definitely falls into my “10 favorite Trout Flies” category, I’ll do a special post on it, with tying instructions. I’ll try to get that post up in the coming week (after the new year).
Good also to hear that you like the new Page structure. I hope that there are many more pages in there by next new year’s eve…
