Jared—Good to hear that you have such fond memories of Dick. I think he had a persona that really stuck with a lot of people. I have a long mental fishing film reel of memories of Dick over the years, and all them involve his endless smile, his desire to see others succeed, and a truly unique style (talkin' about that perfectly starched and pressed khaki uniform that I have not seen matched since the 19th century. I often gave him a hard time about it, but that was just part of our friendship).
I worked with Dick for several years at Charlies Sporting Goods, his outlook on life and charisma will never be forgotten. He was a great teacher, and even more, a great friend who will be missed greatly.
