Loop-Wing Dun on FlyTalk

Sent some Loop-Wing Dun tying instructions and illustrations over to my friends at FlyTalk. The post is now up there for reading. I’ll likely post a variation of that content here later this week, so check back for additional info. If you’ve been wanting to tie the Loop-Wing (well, one of the many loop-wing patterns out there), head over to FlyTalk and get out your vise!

I should also mention that tying up some of the Feather-Leg Nymphs from yesterday’s post, along with matching Loop-Wings, will give you a great one-two for the smaller mayfly hatches this spring (or fall, depending on where you are in the world). Want a matching emerger, too? Try the Low-Rider for that, or just fish the Feather-Leg Nymph right in the surface film (don’t weight it, and maybe even use a bit of floatant).
