A nicely matched set of a ‘bow and brown, courtesy of Kel. Just a little distraction while I work out a post with some real content….
The FF&W [blog] is meant to provide a flow of educational fly-fishing links, articles, and media, as well as a splash of news and art. I hope that you enjoy the read.
My best,
Jason Borger

To me this is real content too :P
I have to agree with Simon! Wow, that ‘bow sure is pretty. On which creek/stream did we find that little beauty? One of these days we HAVE to get back to some small stream, mountain trout!
Simon—Yeah, I realized after I wrote it that “real content” wasn’t exactly what I wanted to say. A couple of lovely trout are probably as “real” as it gets! How about “wordy, pedagogical content?” That may more accurately describe what I am working on.
Kel—That ‘bow is part of a back-to-back pair from the Gallatin. It was during that crazy caddis hatch that one day when it was a fish every other cast (you were in the “hot seat” on that one run). I was looking for some fish to put up as a quick post, and when I saw the time/date-stamps, I realized that they were only a few minutes apart. Seemed like a nice combo, despite somewhat less than “grip-n-grin” size….
And yes, we do indeed need to get back to Costilla #1 or some other 10,000-foot elevation creek. Something about being that high with those steel-hard, jewel-like little trout that is unmatched by anything else.
Nice brace, they catch the light well. I like the way the wooden net rim is in the shot too
