The FF&W Gear Closet Sale – February 2011
I’ve been getting a jump on spring with a little cleaning of my gear closet. I have a pile of gear, some of which has sat unused for a while, or has simply been replaced by other gear over the last year or two. Rather than just toss it all up on eBay, I figured that I’d list a few items here that might be of interest to some FF&W readers. If they remain unclaimed after a few days, up on eBay they go, but if anything strikes your fancy, let me know: jason(at)fishfliesandwater(dot)com.
Targus Gary Borger Pro Series 7/8 reel (includes a lightly used Sharkskin 8 line). One of my demo reels that has also landed a few salmon and steelhead. Some small marks/scratches from use, but nothing that I would call significant. I recommend the reel for freshwater applications only. $100 shipped anywhere. Going onto eBay.
Targus Gary Borger Pro Series 5/6 reel (includes a used SA 5 Sharkskin ED line). One of my demo reels that also landed a few trout. This one is more marked/scratched up, since it was a primary demo reel for me, but it is still in okay shape, and has a lot of fish left in it. $65 shipped anywhere. SOLD
Vosseler DC3 Trout Reel (includes a used Snowbee XS 5 line). Yep, another demo reel with a line (the reel is in very good shape; the line has a few miles on it). A very nice little reel (I also have a big Vosseler salmon reel which has done the trick for me in a number of places. That one, however, is signed to me, so it stays in the closet!). $100 shipped anywhere. SOLD
Pix of all items can be found here.
That’s the current list of items. There may be a few more in March, as well. If anyone is interested, just let me know and we can work it out via PayPal (either PayPal directly or via credit card payment).

if the 5/6 is available–will take it —-have a buddy just getting into it and would be good —let me know
flynn
Flynn—It’s yours. I have some art headed your way, as well….
Is the DC3 a 3 weight? I would go for that.
Thanks,
Paul
Paul—No, the DC3 is best suited to a 4 – 6 (5 is ideal, I think).
I’m interested in the DC3 if it’s still available…
Don
Don—It’s yours if you want it. Will send you an email.
