The Icethroat Trout

Amazing what a simple “invert” command can do to an image. This is just the inverted version of a Yellowstone cutthroat that I painted for a friend. The frosty X-ray look really gives the image an ethereal nature, versus the much more solid sense one gets when seeing it in its natural oranges and yellows. Anyway, since the first couple of weeks of this month have been fish-heavy, I figured a few FF&W readers might like it.
Update: Someone emailed me to ask what the original image looked like. It looked like this:

Absolutely awesome!!!
Lars
Lars—Thanks very much. I’m really liking it, too. Could make for a cool desktop/wallpaper for a computer screen, too.
Or, maybe I need to consider a market for black-velvet fish paintings….
WOW-VERY COOL!!
The yin/yang of the fish world.
Check is in the mail–thank you again.

JB, thanks for the download version of “Icethroat Trout”. Is there a best way to convert this hi-def .PDF to use as a screensaver in OS X?
Andrew
Andrew—I’ll set it up as a jpeg-based desktop/wallpaper for OS X and Windows and post it here on the blog. Those who are running a graphic-conversion program can do it for themselves (at least to a degree), but I’ll make sure that the number of screen resolutions are made available directly.
Check back on the main post area of the blog (not back here in the archives) in a day or two.
